Why Content Matters

So you've decided to start your own business. And good luck to you. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing your own hard work pay dividends.

Problem is, when you first start out you have a limited budget. First of all, you need a website, everyone knows that.

On average, a new website costs £400-£700. If you want decent content on top, allow around £90 per page. Sure, there are copywriters that charge next to nothing. But, to be honest, youd be better off writing it yourself.

First Impressions count

However, quality content is vital. Be it a website, blog, leaflet, flyer, brochure or poster, people make an instant decision. In sales, first impressions are everything. If the tone of voice isnt right, if there are spelling mistakes or poor grammar, youll lose them for good.

Too often Ive had to study content to try and decipher the message for myself. Eventually, Ive lost patience. People dont have time to sift through a jumble of sentences. A copywriter can draw people in, encouraging them to read on.

Avoid disaster

Blow your marketing budget on a website that doesnt work and it could spell disaster. You could end up with an empty marketing pot. Worse still, you could also have no money coming in. Is it any wonder that so many new businesses fold so quickly? Id like to bet that most of those that fail have overlooked the importance of content.

Social Media

Quality words are important for all forms of digital marketing. If youre going to be using Facebook or Twitter, you have to grab peoples attention. You have to get across your message and persuade them to visit your site or blog. You have to do this in one or two sentences.

The marketing dilemma

So, youre left with a dilemma. Do you put yourself under financial pressure from the off by investing in a website with quality content? Or do you play it safe and spend all day praying for the phone to ring?

Special Offer

Fortunately, I have the answer. Ive lowered my rates this year to specifically target start-ups. I only charge £25 per page of web content for instance.

I have a deal going at the moment. Order five pages of content and Ill throw in a website for free. Then, when business starts coming in, you can pay for a site thats all singing and dancing. Ill even transfer the copy across for no extra cost.

You could get a new website including content for as little as £140. Im also offering three blog articles for £50. Visit my website for more information or call me on 07541 485062.
