Increase income and save time - it can be done!

I recently ran a poll on social media to see if business owners were happy to sacrifice their time and work/life balance for earning more money than they really need.

The mix of responses raised the question, ‘how do we earn more £’s in less time?!’

The strategy employed to do that may be chosen to provide a greater income that provides choices, or it may be to give you more time for doing those work/life preferences or goals.

As a business owner, it can be all too easy to find yourself working long hours, sacrificing your personal life, and feeling like you’re constantly on the go. Been there! While working hard and putting in the time and effort required to build a successful business is important, it is also possible to earn more money while working less hours. By making some key changes to your business strategy and mindset, you can achieve greater success and balance in your life.

I always encourage my clients to ensure their business goals are aligned with their personal goals.

One of the first steps to earning more money while working less is to focus on your core strengths and areas of expertise. Too often, business owners find themselves bogged down in tasks and responsibilities that are not their forte. By delegating these tasks to others or outsourcing them to a third-party provider, you can free up your time and energy to focus on what you do best. This can include tasks such as marketing, sales, or strategic planning, which can have a significant impact on your bottom line.

Another key strategy for earning more money while working less is to streamline your operations and automate repetitive tasks. This can include using software and technology to automate routine tasks, such as invoicing, accounting, or customer service. By leveraging technology and automation, you can reduce your workload and free up your time to focus on higher-value tasks.

In addition to these practical strategies, it is also important to adopt a mindset of abundance and growth. Rather than focusing solely on cutting costs and reducing expenses, look for opportunities to develop your business and increase your revenue. How can you reinvest your assets? This might involve exploring new markets or product lines, expanding your sales and marketing efforts, or developing strategic partnerships with other businesses.

Another key aspect of earning more money while working less is to prioritise your own health and well-being. It’s all too easy to burn out or neglect your own self-care when you are focused on building a business. This might include setting boundaries around your work hours, prioritising exercise and healthy eating, or taking time off to recharge and rejuvenate.

Ultimately, the key to earning more money while working less is to focus on what matters most to you and your business. By taking proactive steps to achieve your goals, you can build a business that is not only successful, but also sustainable and fulfilling in the long-term.
