Wandsworth is set on the south bank of the River Thames. It is Londons ninth biggest borough in terms of population and the third biggest inner London borough, in terms of geographical area. A mid-2016 population estimate for the borough was 318,100. Of any London borough, Wandsworth has the lowest rate of unemployment (2017), as well as the 2nd lowest rate of low-paid local employees.
